A step in the right direction

My latest hairbrained scheme

Well, after sleeping on my last post I decided that drastic measures are called for. So I’ve decided to do the Couch25k program.

Last time I tried this it all ended in tears after 1 run, because my old trainers were so knackered that I badly hurt my knees. Despite this I braved the dark and completed the first run last night. I expected to be gasping like a fish out of water after the 60 second runs, but I really surprised myself. I found a relaxed and easy pace and my breathing never got too hard. I’m so chuffed with myself.

Its not all exercise endorphins and euphoria though. I have spent today with barely functional thighs. This was a really bad day to wear heels, especially when attempting stairs. Here’s hoping the aching subsides in time for tomorrows run. Just to be on the safe side I’m buying new shoes over the weekend.

Other news, I hit 13st 10lb this morning #victorydance 🙂
