Self inflicted exercise drought

December 7, 2012

Still got my weird inflatable leg thing going on, but it does seem to be getting better and I suspect that’s because I’ve done no exercise recently :-(. I haven’t been running since Tuesday! I was scheduled to run today.  I say scheduled, because it didn’t happen.

my glass had a lot more in it than this one – albeit not for long

Today has been a washout due to a monstrous hangover, caused by not one, but two Xmas parties last night.  I started the night with my colleagues from work and finished it with people from our IT supplier who happened to be having their shindig in the hotel I was staying in.  Lets just say I had one or two little drinkies (read gallons of wine).  Despite all this I can say that the exercise is paying off as the new dress I’ve bought looked great, got load of compliments 🙂

I’m currently sitting on my sofa in my dressing gown having filled my face with Pizza and the pain and nausea is only just subsiding.  Naturally in this condition running was definitely out of the question.

I’m disappointed at not being able to get out on the road tonight, but even worse is that I’m away this weekend and so wont be doing anything until at least Sunday night :-(.  Don’t get me wrong I am really looking forward to seeing my friends, we always have a great time when we get together. But now I’ve got the (exercise) bug I don’t want to fall off the waggon and revert to my naturally lazy ways.

Come what may I will do some form of exercise Sunday night.

My mood precisely. Have a detour, but don’t fall off the wagon. I have a little cabernet chilling right now. I’ve had a long, hard week in the boxing gym and at work. I skipped the gym today. Took a nap. Woke up. Ate. Uncorked a bottle of wine.

sounds like a little slice of heaven. Thanks for helping to ease my guilt complex 🙂
