The Garfield approach to life

just call me Garfield

I know I said normal service would resume after Christmas and I must hold my hand up as being guilty of neglecting my blog. For that I apologise unreservedly.  I would like to say it’s because I’ve too much to do and I can’t juggle all the things going on in my life.  If I’m honest I’d have to say it’s because I’ve been lazy.

I can tell I’m being lazy as the house is a tip, all my wardrobe is currently in the washing basket (and on the dining room floor) and I have no clean dishes left.  Yes, its official I am a domestic slut!  This is a phase I go through periodically and is generally as a result of being unhappy about something.  If I look around me I can’t really say I’m particularly unhappy or worried about anything, I’m just being plain lazy.

So, here is my commitment.  Tonight I will;

  • Cook a proper dinner, one that I can have tomorrow night too so I don’t need to mess around too much after my run
  • Do at least one load of washing.  I want something fab to wear at work tomorrow.
  • Do all of the dishes.  I will reclaim my kitchen.
  • Unpack from spending Christmas at the BF’s.  My case is still in my living room!

My incentive is that the BF is staying over Thursday night so I need to get a grip.  There is an acceptable minimum standard and I’m currently well below it.

Now I’ve shamed myself into making this declaration I suppose I had better get on and do it
