On the road again – finally!

Woohoo.  Today has been my first run since getting ‘the cold’ (needs a horror film sound effect)!

It may not have been a long run, but after a week and a half off where my lungs have been shrivelling in anything resembling cold air, this is a major achievement.  So, I  did a 18 min, 1.4  mile trot round my housing estate, just to see if I was able to do any kind of time or distance.  I felt pretty darn sluggish after my time off, but according to Runkeeper I’m averaging just over 12min/mile, which is pretty good for me.  Even felt good enough when I got home that I was able to do a bit of Fab Ab Feb with 10 press-ups, 30 sit ups and a 30 second plank.

This leads me nicely into Mad Abs March.  I am ready and waiting to starting tomorrow, for a change I’m not going to be a Johnny come lately.

My 2nd challenge that also starts tomorrow is my plan to ‘run a Marathon over March’.  With my holiday, this is really ‘run 26.2 miles in 3 weeks’, which I think will encourage me to keep building up the time with b210k.

Looks like March is going to be fun, if pretty hard work 🙂

    Hurrah for getting out again! Don’t push it too hard though – recover properly! I am also Mad Abs-ing I think. I even printed the pic off and have put it in my diary.

      Woohoo. Good to have you onboard.
      will be going easy tonight with a Body Jam session, that should warm me up nicely to do MAM. Then back to b210k tomorrow at the BFs.
