The sound of motivation

March 5, 2013

I was lazily looking through music in the Zune marketplace tonight (Microsoft version of iTunes) when I thought I’d look for running albums and playlists.  I think I found the ultimate running motivational tool and had to share with you.

I wanna be your drill instructor!

What can beat the US Marine corps for hardcore cadence running?  If these chaps don’t keep you plodding at a regular pace for hours at a go I don’t know what will!  Plus, if one album isn’t enough, there are 3 volumes to keep you running for-e-ver!!!!!!!  If that’s not enough there’s a remix album of rap and rock styleee versions of the biggest hits.

Having downloaded these bad babies I think I’m going to try them out when I’m closer to the end of b210k. The hard part is going to be restraining myself from singing along while running – could be a tad embarrassing.  I let you know how it goes :-).

Kind of wish I’d kept my old Dr Martens now to at least look the part…………………….

Very cool, but I can’t help thinking it would slow me down (unless I was carrying another runner across my shoulders).

True, the cadence is a little slow for some. Im naturally pretty slow, so its not that bad. Its more the feeling that with this you could go on forever.
If your offering lifts, there’s a local 10k in July I could do with a hand with……….. 😉
