Marathon in March – progress update

March 15, 2013

I’ve just totted up my mileage to see how I’m doing on my ‘Marathon in March’ challenge.  Well, I’ve covered 20.2 miles after yesterdays ‘short’ run, which is 77% of my target.  I’m pretty confident I can rack up another 6 miles between now and going on holiday next Friday.

Working on the principle that I could technically manage another 3 runs before I go away, and that I am childishly competitive, there’s now the question of seeing how much more than 26.2 miles I can cover………weather/injury permitting of course :-).

Still carrying on with Mad Abs March, although am keeping the press-ups constant and only increasing the plank and crunches.  I’ll stop when I go on hols as I don’t really want to be straining my muscles too much if I’m diving up to 4 times a day, I’ll be burning enough calories as it is! But, it will be back to the grindstone when I get back and I already have Kick Ass April printed and ready to start on April 1st 🙂

I wish I would’ve started Mad Abs March with you… thinking I may just try April, we’ll see if I’m up for this butt-kickin’!! Y’know, I do need to work on the junk in the trunk…but I also want my pipes back!! Maybe I should just do a push-up now and then.
    Pffffft.
