Juneathon Day 7 – taking it easy

June 7, 2013

Well, another day and another mile lunchtime walk. I realise that in Juneathon terms this is not exactly exciting, but its sticking to the spirit and the letter of the task at hand.

The only reason I’m not doing more is that today is another v busy day. Tonight I’m driving with the ex to Pembrokeshire to be up early for another weekend of diving. This week its a survey of territorial fish with Seasearch. We’ll be diving the Skomer marine deserve helping to gather data for research studies. The weather looks good and we’ve heard that the visibility is a massive 5 m, so there’s cause for high hopes.

For anyone interested, the Zulu gig last night was amazing. The troupe of 11-15 year olds had been bought to the UK by the university of the West of England. The event at Colston hall marked the end of their 3 week stay and was to raise money for solar panels for their school. They sang a mix of gospel and folk songs and did a range of dances – the finale being like something out of the film Zulu. All I can say is that the kids were amazing and I’m really happy to have been able to see such an unusual performance and support their fund raising.

Juneathon totals;

  • Scuba diving – 166 mins
  • Pilates – 60 mins
  • Gym – 45 mins
  • Body Jam – 50 mins
  • Walking – 2 miles
